Content of One Piece OP13
This set, also known as “Carrying on His Will” is a Japanese set for the One Piece Card Game. It will be released on the 23rd. August 2025 in Japan and is all about the “Three Brothers”: Monkey D. Luffy, Portgas D. Ace and Sabo and shows formative moments as well as scenes of the brothers from the anime. Included are 6 cards per booster.
The History of the Three Brothers
At the centre of the set is the connection between Luffy, Ace and Sabo – three boys who have conspired as brothers in the windmill village. Their vow to go to sea together one day and pursue their dreams forms a central strand in the one-piece story. The set takes up stations of their development: from childhood at the Gray Terminal to Ace’s tragic fate in Marineford and Sabo’s reappearance in the Revolutionary Army. Also Gol D. Roger, as the origin of the ideal succession, is represented for the first time as a leader card.
Design and map types
OP-13 includes leader, event, and character cards with new illustrations. Thematically matching alternate arts and anniversary designs provide a lot of variety. Many motifs reflect the emotional depth of the story – for example in scenes with the brotherhood oath or flashbacks to Ace’s last message to Luffy. Overall, the set combines narrative nostalgia with modern map layout.
As part of the official 3rd Anniversary Collection, OP13 is aimed in Japanese mainly at collectors. Since it is a Japanese set, the content is not playable in tournament format outside of Japan. The focus is therefore on the collecting aspect – especially through limited designs and the importance of the characters treated for the one-piece universe.
